I have a brain! Wow! Steady now! This is a fact and not a wish. About three pounds of mushy matter fills your cranium and provides the hardware for operating our exceedingly complex physical human system. This system shows abundant convincing signs of intelligent design. Our brain is a prime example of that design.
Our Design Is Obvious
The rare instances in which, at our present state of knowledge, our human system seems to show no intelligent purpose are just that: instances of our lack of all the facts and knowledge that could explain all things. Until we have greater knowledge it is best not to use such instances as proof of a random creative process. Design is everywhere in our bodies, and that we can thank God for. Obvious design dominates the picture of our marvelous physical systems. That brain inside our skulls obviously has a purpose and a design. God help us if it doesn’t! Or if we use it to create evil of any sort.
Our Brain Is Part of the Physical Universe
God created the universe and all its inhabitants. And we have only just begun to discover its astonishing complexity and power. This universe of the mind is beyond understanding in its detailed complexity and enormity.
A Universe within a Universe
As part of this creation God created the amazing physical object called the human brain, which can honestly be described as a universe within a universe. The human brain is also the most complex creation in the universe. Nothing even comes close to its profundity.
Our Brain Is Miraculous
It functions by means of electrochemical activity, which is exceedingly esoteric and, for the most part at our present stage of knowledge, predictable. The latter fact helps drug companies devise drugs to alter brain responses. It renews itself, repairs itself, and yet, it never sleeps. If anything is miraculous, it is the human brain. The brain controls all the functions of the body. It is THE vital organ in all animal life. Even the heart is controlled by the brain.
To focus on the inner world of the mind, don’t lose sight of how wonderfully we have been made.
For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord; I sing for joy at the works of your hand. How great are your works, O Lord, how profound your thoughts! [Psalm 92:4-5]
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful. I know them full well. [Psalm 139:14]
We Control Our Inner World
The above quotes are how people 3000 years ago kept their sense of personal worth. It was a belief. Nothing creates a sense of worth better than a belief. And don’t forget, we are in control of the health and happiness of our inner world, as we previously discussed. Our life is what we make it.
NEXT: How we can control our inner world.
DISCOVER THE TRUTH OF WHO YOU ARE!
Lean into the whole truth. Discover the truth of who YOU are — the “Real You” — and who your children truly are. Discover how to best engage your children in finding the whole truth. INNERKINETICS, Your Blueprint to Excellence and Happiness, is a great resource.
YOUR CHILD IS ALSO UNIQUE
It may surprise you, but your child is most probably a different temperament. They are unique individuals too. So even if they are the same temperament (two letters), they may be a different type (four letters). And the strength of their drives will different from yours as well. Your InnerKinetics (temperament) is not genetically passed on. Therefore, it is exceedingly important to understand your child. I’m a Keeper! is the resource you need to make that journey.
